Grow & Give Back

Location: Spirit of the Lake Community Arts Center

Dates: June 10th, 17th, & 24th

Time: 5:30 - 7pm

Class Topics

Class 1: Seed Starting with Purpose

Learn the art of starting seeds using sustainable, low-cost methods. We'll cover seed selection for community impact — from veggies and herbs for food banks to flowers for pollinators. Each participant will start a tray of seeds to nurture at home.

Class 2: Building a Pollinator Garden-in-a-Pot
Pollinators are the hidden workers of the world. In this session, you'll learn how to create a mini garden that welcomes bees, butterflies, and other helpful insects — even if you only have a balcony or small yard.

Class 3: Composting for a Greener Future

Turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into rich, nutritious compost! We'll explore the basics of home composting, including easy options for small spaces. Composting closes the loop of giving in your garden and helps reduce waste.
